I love that my generation is blessed with video games. When there is nothing to do while waiting for the laundry, I get to play Assassins Creed on my 360.
Before that, I had Halo 2 on my Xbox.
Before that, I could get down on Ratchet and Clank on my PS2.
Before that, some Crash Bandicoot on PS1.
Before that, some Golden Eye on my N64.
Before that, some Super Mario World on my SNES.
You get the point. Video Games are an ever evolving area for entertainment, and I am glad that I have them in my life. Whether you go on a bender and play for 12 hours in a day, or you just play a quick Madden moment for 5 minutes, it is a great way to spend ones time when you need a distraction. I love video games and cannot wait to see what they make next.
A bunch of random entries for when I feel like speading joy, delving into sorrow, or just rambling about nonsense. Enjoy!

Padres home opener 2010
On Monday, April 12, 2010, I went downtown with my buddy, Nick. He scored two tickets to the Padres home opener and invited me along. I have never been to an opening day before, so of course I was in. We hopped on the trolley around 11:30 to get downtown around Noon. There was a block party going on with vendors giving out free samples of food and drinks. From powerade to the nachos at the Rock Bottom booth, we tried them all. Then after the block party, we head into the game. The weather was flirting with rain all day, but we weren't going to not go due to rain. The moment we get to our seats. A beer in one hand and nachos in the other, it starts to rain. I had no jacket or sweater. My nachos were getting wet and my already weak bud light, was getting more watered down. I thought, "Great, it IS going to rain after all." Then they sing the national anthem in the rain and as soon as they yelled "PLAYBALL!" the rain stopped and the sun came out and started shining down on the glorious stage that is Petco Park. Our boys came running out and proceeded to shut down the Atlanta Braves. Our pitcher, Kevin Correia was on fire. Once the boys came up to bat, it didn't take them long to figure out what opposing pitcher, Jair Jurrjens, had to offer. We quickly got on the board with a triple by Will Venable who was batted in on a single by Nick Hundley in the second inning. Still up 1-0 in the 4th, our boys brought 14 men up to the plate during a 10 run bottom of the 4th that included 5 RBI's by Kyle Blanks including a 2 run HR. During the slaughter in the 4th, a Braves fan got up from his seat, took off his Atlanta hat and threw it over the edge of the overhang. He then grabbed his opening day Padres shirt and put that on. It was a glorious moment as a Padres fan. Tack on 3 more in the 5th and 3 more in the 7th as opposed to the 2 the Braves got in the 6th and it makes for the most memorable game I've ever been to. We couldn't be stopped on that day. I will always remember my first opening day as the day we set the highest runs scored record in Petco Park history* with our blowout victory over the Atlanta Braves 17-2. Thanks to my brother-from-another-mother, Nick for taking me down there. I know it is a day we both shall remember in our Friar's history. Here's to a great 2010 season. Go PADS!!
*Side note: On May 31, 2010, the Padres scored 18 runs against the New York Mets, re-setting the record to 18 runs.

An oldie, but a goodie...
I feel this is still an appropriate poem...
...sleep deprived nights...
I try to sleep but it’s no use
My eyelids don’t want to close
If they do, I lay there, still
Wishing I knew what it is to dream
My sleep deprived nights
Keep my body feeling numb
To the pain I feel inside
And the fear that I call night
Is wanting sleep too much to ask
Laying there staring at the dark
With thoughts running around my mind
Of nothing and everything at the same time
How did I get so cursed
To want the impossible so badly
To daydream of dreams
Wondering how wonderful they are
And with just one little pill
Everything could be alright
For just one night
If I got to rest my eyes

Free time...
Weird...
I have free time at night again.
It is taking some adjusting as it hasn't really set in...I've had plans every night since the show closed. Haha. Granted that was only Saturday, but still, you get the point.
My "free time" is quickly becoming booked up. I guess that happens when your friends/family don't see you for a month and half, eh?
Anywho, this was just a quick post to say that I am available for some hang out time...if I'm available. Haha!
Till next time!

Poem for my niece...
Annabelle Mia
Always such a joy
Never a bother
Nestled in our hearts instantly
Around her is the family so
Beautiful and full of love
Everlasting care and devotion
Lovely little angel
Laughs so adorably
Even the night sky brightens
Mother and father so proud
In their arms she will stay
Always and forever

Whew...
I love you because is almost over.
This is both a good thing and a bad/sad thing. It is good cause I will have my nights free again and I will be able to have more time to do homework and things of the like.
It is bad cause I will miss this cast/crew a lot. Having done so many shows, I have learned that casts come and go and that I tend to not get attached so easily, but this cast/crew is different. It is a small cast and I have bonded with them all. It will be a sad thing not seeing them every day, but I know I shall see them all again soon.
So, that being said, I am doing well in my classes. My geography of California class is quite pleasing. I am learning all sorts of good info on where I live and I like it. My public speaking class and my English classes are both going well. Just a lot of typing of papers, etc.
I am thinking I am going to try and get my Theatre Arts AA degree next semester as I only need 4 more classes in that field, along with a lab science. Once I have the AA degree, I should be able to transfer to a University. I'm looking at SDSU and UNLV (University of Nevada, Las Vegas). We shall see what actually happens.
I might still do the culinary school thing once I get my AA. I thought I had all of this figured out, but then I had to go and do a show again and now I have that theatre bug running around in my head again. Damn bug. It'll never go away. Haha.
I thought about getting a BA in Theatre and possibly teaching drama somewhere...but I also still want my culinary experience...ugh...damn theatre bug. It shall never go away. Haha.
Well, I'll be posting a lot more now that I will be having some free time again soon.
Till then, Thanks for reading and I'll see ya'll later!

Random thought...
Sometimes you feel like a nut...
Sometimes you don't.
Almond Joy's got nuts...
Mounds don't.
Does that mean Almond Joy is boy and Mounds is a girl?

Oh Friday...
This is the first Friday for me that is like a Monday.
Since I am back in school on Tuesday's and Thursday's, I have to fill up those days by working the weekends. Since this is my first week of doing that, today feels like Monday...but it's Friday! Ugh...I gotta do what I gotta do, but why must that include working on the weekedns?!
*sigh*
